There is definitely something about Apple. Something which kindles the fanboy in many people. Their range of products,is both hated and revered but never ignored. The iPod has been one of the key factors which has revolutionised the way people have listened to music.The latest avatar of one of the most popular PMP’s in the market right now is rumoured to hit the shelves this year.

The iPod Touch 5G, is expected to make an official appearance this September which has traditionally been the month when Apple brings its hardware goodies to the fray. This time, onus is on the 5th generation models of the iTouch and the immensely popular iPhone.The fact that iOS 5 has already been launched, thus making way for the hardware that will support the operating system ,further strengthens the claims that Apple will indeed take its oft-trodden route for releasing new models during the month of September.

Having concluded with reasonable certainty that the release date for the iPod Touch 5G will be in September, the rumor mills abound with possible features for the latest version from Apple. There are even supposed leaked images of the actual product itself, floating around the internet; although the authenticity of these is highly debateable. In any case,there are a number of features that the next generation model is expected to have. These Itouch 5G features will serve to market the product better than its competitors from Zune,Archos & Samsung.

With the iTouch facing heat from the other PMP’s in the market which strive to offer better features at competitive prices, the premium pricing of the iTouch has resulted in a high level of expectation, in the form of attractive features and a new & refurbished form factor . The consumer market also expects the launch of the iTouch 5G with a feature set which would justify an upgrade from their older versions of the iTouch or the migration of a customer to the Apple family afresh.

With the launch of the iTouch and the subsequent release of the iPhone 5 (or 4GS) ,Apple seeks to finish the year on a high. Expectation for these products are through the roof as Apple seek to make a major move in both the smartphone and PMP market and cement its claim for top honours this year.

With many people concentrating on the release date of Ipod touch 5g and wondering when steve jobs in going to throw down the bomb unveiling the ipod touch 5g several rumors have come with all these pointing to one direction that we might not have a home button in our new ipod touch 5g and also with 3g a very definite possibility in ipod touch 5g we can suggest that 5th gen ipod touch will be a scaled down version of ipad.But we are sure Apple will have some means of marketing to make people buy both ipad and ipod touch as they did for ipod touch and iphone.Let us keep our fingers crossed and wait to see if the rumor is true or not.
